    Mama’s perfectly formed space is an ideal bolt hole in the middle of super-cool Shoreditch. Whether you’re alone or in a duo, the Small Mama is designed to make you feel at home, with everything close to hand including a mini fridge and desk, stylish decor and tactile bedlinen. You can go single, double and even underground! Sleeps 2.

    Medium Mama

    Medium Mama offers an ideal respite from the city bustle. We’re talking a 20 m² haven, available as twin beds for friends or colleagues to share, or a roomy double. Mama dares you to try and stay awake once you’ve slipped under the sheets. Reach for the remote control if you like, but you might not make it.

     

    Medium Mama Double: enjoy 17 to 20 m² and a Queen size bed (160x200cm). Sleeps 2.

    Medium Mama Twin: enjoy 19 to 20 m² and 2 twin beds (90x200cm). Sleeps 2.

    Max it out with up to 35 m² of play space right in the middle of the city’s vibrant East End. From doubles or twins, to unusual Large Double Double or even a Large Triple (that’s a room, not a cocktail), Mama got you covered. Sleeps up to 4.

    Large Mama Double Double (underground): enjoy 21 to 25 m² and 2 double beds (140x200cm). The room is underground and has no windows. Sleeps 4.

    Large Mama Triple (underground): enjoy 35 m² and 3 twin beds (90x200cm). The room is underground and has no windows. Sleeps 3.

    Large Mama Double Assisted: enjoy 21 to 23 m² and a Queen size bed (160x200cm). Accessible to people with reduced mobility, sleeps 2.

    Friendly staff

    “Great welcome from reception team who allowed us to check in early which was great. Lovely room. Only downside was incredibly hard bed! I like a firm bed but this was the hardest bed I have ever slept in!”

    Sleepless night followed by a cold shower!

    “Hi, Our stay overall was very pleasant. However it was spoilt by the windows making an awful whistle through the night on Saturday night/Sunday morning followed by no hot water resulting in cold showers. We were told to run the shower for 10 mins which we did but to no avail. This meant we left feeling tired and frustrated from what was otherwise a nice stay.”

    Good stay, breakfast very good

    “The room was comfortable and stylish. The staff were efficient and friendly. Gym well equipped. Breakfast very nice, however, other Mama Shelters I have stayed in had smoothies and cappuccinos etc., included in the price. Location a bit far from Shoreditch. Rooms not best isolation for corridor and other room noise. Overall a very nice stay.”

    Relatively okay, would

    “Although I appreciate the decor and the general vibe of the hotel and how well located it is in London. I would stay again, if needing a place to stay in the area but my main takeaway is that 4 stars is ever so slightly too generous, mostly considering that the hotel has been included in luxury hotel guides which I personally wouldn’t describe it as such. The restaurant is nice, comfortable and has an energetic spirit to it. The food is nice, but nothing extraordinary in flavour. The drinks are decent and I appreciated the well made mojito I ordered. The on site restaurant is a convenience and most definitely adds to the vibrancy of the hotel, as its by the main entrance. Now the room was overall nice, the entertainment options on the TV were appreciated and the very firm bed was to my liking. Saying this I believe the pillows need updating, or perhaps option to choose from a pillow menu. The room was clean, however not necessarily to my standard given that when you push back the sink faucet to get running water you can see a a lot of grime build up. Something easy enough to ignore but not pleasant nor should be expected at a 4 star hotel. Overall it was a nice stay, I wasn't inconvenienced by anything that majorly that I could say made my stay negative.”

    Very comfortable and good attention to detail

    “We stayed for one night, it was comfortable and well organised. The room was lovely, clean, everything was very nice. Breakfast was particularly great: amazing choice for every dietary requirement! Even someone gluten and dairy free like me had plenty of options! Loved it.”

    Decent Hotel very Friendly Staff

    “Decent enough stay. Check in was very smooth although I found the £50 deposit for the mini bar was quite odd especially once you get to the room and there is nothing provided in the room except for tea/ coffee facilities. Rooms were nice and well kept although the one I was staying in seemed particularly noisy especially in the morning as it was near to a staff station of some sort. So lots of opening and closing of doors etc. Minimal bathroom toiletries supplied was fine. Pillows were quite poor to be honest was not the most comfortable of sleeping experiences. Was a perfectly decent stay but for the price was not that great. I travel a lot with work and stay in 1-2 places a month and would be unlikely to use this one again. There are far better stays out there at a much lower price. Staff were exceptional though excellent check in, very friendly, and super helpful throughout the stay.”

    Vomit on the floor.

    “As I got off the elevator I almost walked into a pile of vomit in the hallway. It was disgusting, smelled like it had been there for awhile. What an awful way to greet guests. I would like a refund on my stay.”

    Tired / Cheap

    “The rooms felt very old and dark, not well maintained or thoughtful. The pictures were extremely misleading and while I didn’t expect luxury I also didn’t expect such a lackluster experience. The shampoo, while wonderful that you are caring for the environment — was unexpected and should have been mentioned in the booking so that I could have brought my own. Staff was lovely though!!”
