Its run by children - friendly enthusiastic but limited attention span

“Didn't receive the "welcome on arrival drink" Reception on check in was very chaotic, could have done with someone senior with gravitas rather than young people who were bopping along to the music rather than concentrating on weary travellers who just wanted an easy assist to check into their room We got to our room which was clean and well appointed but the masks over the bedside lamps were a bizarre touch, craved a cup of tea or coffee but no tea/coffee making facility No shower cap and toiletries rather minimum, I didn't bother washing my hair during the stay due to watery "all in one" shampoo/conditioner/body wash The only member of staff who bothered to introduce himself and was extremely efficient was Sam located on ground floor bar - thank you Sam Didn't bring an international adaptor to charge our phones so asked at reception could I borrow one, got sent on a wild goose chase to a shop down the road that didn't sell them, went back to reception queued up again and was told I could hand it over to them and they would charge it - left my phone and went back to get it different member of staff didn't know what I was talking about but finally found my phone quite concerning there was no labelling system and I could have been handed anyone's device Booked a taxi to take us to the airport as we were travelling in the middle of the night checked with reception before going outside and waiting for it - taxi hadn't been booked thank goodness my husband checked as we would have been waiting fruitlessly outside hotel at 3.30 am!!!”

When you pay for a service, you expect the minimum that you will receive the service you ordered

“As a gold status customer of the chain, I did not rely on my status, I booked in advance (in rev NKRHBWBT) and paid as part of the room price for the option to late check out , not only they did not allow us to do a late check out they charged me for this service and also ask us because they were overbook that we leave early and despite the fact that I showed the person in the reception on the evening of arrival that I had booked and paid for Late check-out He asked us to go to the reception on the day of departure. when we went in the morning we were told that it is not possible to do a late check-out because they have are full book and we had to make a check out at 11:00”

    Friendly hotel experience

“I was a little worried that Mama would be a bit too ‘young vibe’ for us ( we are both in our early sixties). Nothing could have been further from the truth. What a friendly welcoming place it is. ALL the staff I met were happy, fun loving and professional The facilities were great , the room comfortable and the food good quality.”

    Good stay

“We had a good stay with clean rooms. However, we were disappointed checking out because we were charged for a beverage bill meant for a different room number.”

    It was good

“We didn’t have a lot of stuff as shampoo and not enough cream (1 bottle p.p. could be appreciated). The bed and TV were good. The price of water, 3€ per bottle, is exaggerated. Nice masks next to the bed !”

    Very nice hotel.

“We arrived from our 11 week trip through Italy around 3pm for our last night. We chose this hotel as it has a pool and we are travelling with a 8 & 4 yr olds. Only to find out you need to book the pool and it’s all booked out. This is fine only if you let ppl know. Please note it on your website or when ppl book let them know.”

Friendly staff, enjoyable stay, check-in could’ve been better

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff everywhere was friendly & helpful, providing nice recommendations. The pool & sauna were a nice touch to relax. The hotel is a bit away from the hustle & bustle of the Rome city center, but well connected by public transit, which worked for us, but something to note. Rooms were well appointed & clean. Food at the restaurant was very good & reasonably priced. We didn’t have a chance to make it to the rooftop, but that’S. an added bonus as well. Our only gripe was that early arrivals were not given rooms on a first-come, first-served basis - there were other families who arrived after us & got their room right away, while we were kept waiting. There should be better coordination with the housekeeping crew to ensure that as rooms are emptied & cleaned, priority is given to those who arrived earlier. It seems like rooms were pre-assigned so you were at the mercy of whenever the housekeeping crew got to it. This got our stay off to the wrong start, but thankfully, the rest of our stay was quite nice.”

Very misleading - cancelled my booking on arrival

“I will start with the positive, the staff here are fantastic and would line to thank them for their time and help during my brief visit. That is the only positive I can offer. I was so excited to stay here and booked through booking.com after a few emails with Chiara at the hotel itself. As a solo traveler I thought the hotel gave a classy but fun impression with amazing views of the Vatican (which would compensate for being a bit further out of the city), but, wrong. The hotel is more like student accommodation with a very mixed up personality - a nice bar area... With vintage video games, lamps with tweetie pie masks and lift full of football player pictures, writing on my mirror saying "call me xxx" and "happy birthday!! " - what actually is this place? It felt like every student cliche brought to life in terrifying technicolour with a not so student price tag. Add to this, my "upgraded" quiet king room with a "view" (keep in mind the website boasts views over the Vatican) was a first floor box of nauseating pastel colours looking straight into a heavily grafitti'd apartment block on a main road. I did try to overlook the fact that I felt like I was back at uni, however, what I could not overlook was the location. The metro line was closed and replacement the bus drops you a good 15 minute walk from the hotel (not at Cipro as I had been advised by Chiara when booking) as such I was able to meander my way through what felt like a very sketchy feeling neighbourhood that as a single woman, I did not feel comfortable walking around in, and absolutely not at night and safety is something I simply will not compromise on. I have spent the last 3 months in Italy in various locations and various types of accommodation and this - bar the staff, I must stress how great they are - is by far the worst and most misleading I've ever encountered. I was doubly disappointed that on expressing my concerns re safety and false advertising they were unwilling to refund my stay, however so bad was the place that I (reluctantly) chose to lose cerca £400 than stay a single night. This place I'm sure would be great for students /young people (I'm only 36) and groups, but if you're here to experience "postcard" Rome and the eternal city then this is not the place. I'm sorry.”

Great hotel close to Metro Link

“Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a great size and comfortable. Rooftop bar offers fantastic sights of Rome. You do need to reserve a table, even for just drinks which we didn't know.”
